Certified Arborist

911 Tree Experts is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Certified Arborist to join our growing team in Southwest Michigan. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in professional tree care, including tree removal, pruning, rigging, and working around energized power lines.

We are looking for a knowledgeable professional who takes pride in their work, understands industry safety standards, and can work efficiently as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree removals, pruning, trimming, and other arboricultural services safely and efficiently.
• Work safely around power lines and electrical hazards while following applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Assess tree conditions, identify potential hazards, and determine appropriate removal or pruning techniques.
• Perform technical rigging, climbing, and aerial lift operations as needed.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and other tree care equipment.
• Follow ANSI Z133 safety standards and industry best practices.
• Conduct jobsite hazard assessments and implement appropriate safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain a professional attitude and provide quality workmanship on every job.

Required Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist certification.
• EHAP (Electrical Hazards Awareness Program) certification.
• Demonstrated experience performing tree work around power lines and electrical hazards.
• Extensive experience in professional tree removal, pruning, and rigging.
• Strong understanding of arboricultural practices, equipment operation, and jobsite safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a crew.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B.
• Experience operating bucket trucks, spider lifts, and other specialized tree care equipment.
• Experience supervising or leading tree care crews.
• Additional industry certifications or safety training.

Compensation

• $40.00 per hour: Qualified Certified Arborist with EHAP certification and power line work experience.
• $43.00 per hour: Qualified candidate who also holds a valid CDL Class A or Class B.

Compensation is based on qualifications and required certifications.
