Certified Billing and Coding Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing and Credentialing Specialist to manage the full revenue cycle process and ensure timely and accurate credentialing for our providers. This is a key administrative role with opportunities to streamline operations and make a significant impact on practice efficiency and reimbursement.

**Key Responsibilities:**Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle:

• Submit accurate claims to insurance companies (electronic and paper)
• Monitor and manage claim denials, rejections, and appeals
• Post payments and reconcile accounts
• Conduct patient billing and collections as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and coding policies
• Work closely with clinical staff for charge capture and documentation accuracy

Credentialing:

• Complete and maintain credentialing and re-credentialing applications for all providers
• Ensure compliance with CAQH, NPI, and payer-specific requirements
• Track credentialing status and maintain accurate provider records
• Liaise with insurance companies and third-party credentialing services
• Monitor expirables (licenses, malpractice insurance, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing and credentialing (Required)
• Familiarity with Allergy & Pulmonary billing and coding (Preferred)
• Experience with EHR and billing software
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow up proactively
