Certified Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and has a strong understanding of dental practices and terminology.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as ClearDent.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience, particularly in pediatrics and orthodontics settings.
• Stay updated on dental procedures, technologies, and best practices to enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Proficient in using dental software such as ClearDent is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
• Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient education and comfort.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Ability to commute

• We have a few locations around the lower mainland, prefer someone who drives and flexible in going to our other clinics.

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
