Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, orthodontics, and pediatrics treatments
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
• Support front desk duties by greeting patients and scheduling appointments
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment that adheres to infection control standards and OSHA regulations

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with certification from an accredited program
• Experience with radiographs management software
• Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and materials is highly desirable
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry to effectively support treatments for children
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient communication
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and empathetically while working seamlessly with the dental team
