Certified Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Metrocon, Inc. is seeking a Certified Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of concrete mixer trucks, dump trucks, and support vehicles. This role is critical to keeping our equipment safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Maintain and repair concrete mixer systems (drums, chutes, PTOs, hydraulics)
• Complete inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Address and document driver-reported issues (DVIRs)
• Perform emergency repairs and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders

Qualifications

• Certified Diesel Mechanic (ASE certification preferred)
• 2+ years experience with diesel engines (heavy trucks or equipment)
• Experience with concrete mixer trucks strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of DOT inspection and compliance requirements
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday (occasional overtime and on-call work as needed)
