Certified Driver Training Instructor

Job OverviewCentury Driving Group LLC is looking for who are dependable, patient, and safety-focused to teach teen and adult clients. This position includes both classroom instruction (for teens only) and behind-the-wheel instruction (for teens and adults), emphasizing building safe driving habits, confidence, and responsible decision-making.
Responsibilities

• Teach classroom lessons (Segment One and Two) as highlighted by State Law PA-384.
• Provide hands-on behind-the-wheel instruction in company-owned dual-control passenger vehicles.
• Teach essential skills including vehicle control, parking, intersections, highway/freeway driving, nighttime driving, and defensive driving.
• Monitor student progress and provide clear written and verbal constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for state licensing exams through instruction and practice.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and development.
• Maintain accurate student records and stay current with Michigan traffic laws and driver education requirements.

Skills

• Current Michigan driver education certification required to provide instruction.
• Strong knowledge of Michigan traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both teens and adults.
• Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
• Experience with highway/freeway driving, nighttime driving, and adverse weather conditions.
• Comfortable using digital learning platforms and electronic recordkeeping.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to promoting lifelong safe-driving habits.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
