Certified Medical Assistant – Outpatient Surgical Practice (Full-Time or Part-Time)

We are a fast-paced and patient-centered outpatient surgical practice providing exceptional care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who is professional, reliable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and surgical consultations
• Room patients, record vital signs, and update medical histories
• Assist providers during office procedures and minor surgeries
• Manage pre-op and post-op documentation and patient instructions
• Perform clinical tasks including injections, EKGs, wound care, and specimen collection (per certification scope)
• Handle EMR documentation and maintain accurate patient records
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Support the surgical team with administrative and clinical tasks as needed
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards at all times

Qualifications

• Required: CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent medical assistant certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of medical assisting experience (surgical or specialty experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and medical terminology
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy outpatient setting
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• Monday–Friday schedule; no nights, weekends, or major holidays
• Flexible hours based on practice needs
