Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals and ensure smooth operations in a medical setting.
• Greet and check-in patients, obtain medical history, and update patient records.
• Assist with patient examinations, including taking vital signs, recording patient information, and preparing examination rooms.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting specimens and conducting routine tests.
• Prepare patients for X-rays and assist with X-ray procedures.
• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and processing insurance claims.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Skills:

• Proficient in patient service and providing quality care to patients.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures.
• Ability to accurately measure vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures.
• Experience in medical administrative support tasks, such as appointment scheduling and maintaining medical records.
• Competence in medication administration under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
