Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

What You’ll Do

As a CNA at Sunrise, you will provide direct care and assistance to residents while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and independence. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Helping residents with meals, hydration, and other daily living needs.
• Assisting with transfers, walking, repositioning, and other mobility needs according to each resident’s care plan.
• Responding to call lights and resident requests in a timely manner.
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team.
• Documenting care provided and maintaining accurate resident records.
• Following resident care plans, infection control practices, safety procedures, and resident rights policies.
• Working cooperatively with nurses, fellow CNAs, residents, families, and other team members.

What We’re Looking For

• A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caring for seniors.
• Dependability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, and recognize and report resident concerns.
• The ability to perform the physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• A current CNA certification, or a willingness and ability to complete the required nurse aide training and certification process.

Schedule Requirements

• Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Willingness to ensure appropriate resident care coverage at the end of a shift in accordance with facility procedures.
