Certified Nurse Midwife

Practice in beautiful Sarasota Florida surrounded by Sunshine and Sand. Our wonderful Midwife focused OBGYN practice is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team! We currently have two Physicians and four Certified Nurse Midwives and due to growth and popularity of our practice we are seeking a 5th. The call will be 1:4 to 1:5 depending on PTO and other factors covering just 1 practice of lower to medium-risk obstetrics of about 45-60 deliveries per month. When/if a patient becomes high risk, we have a great relationship with the All Children's (Johns Hopkins) Maternal Fetal Medicine group in St. Petersburgh FL with local offices available for patient convenience. The two doctors have collectively 45+ years experience with high-risk obstetrics and general OB-GYN, as well as specialty training for Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery (MIGS). The doctors have supported and worked with midwives most of their career, and you can practice midwifery knowing you have doctors who support and believe in your role. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years' experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife. We deliver at one hospital (Lakewood Ranch Medical Center) which will be opening its level 2 NICU in early 2027 as well as Maternal Fetal Medicine phone support 24 hours per day once the NICU opens. The Women's Center is a newer freshly redesigned women's facility that the patient's absolutely love. The labor, peds, and NICU nurses all have experience, usually about 5 years or more in order to work there. Our doctors are readily available for any high-risk deliveries or patients that present to the hospital not in your scope.
