Certified Nursing Assistant - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various healthcare settings including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. As a CNA on our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to patients and residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are maintained at all times. Your expertise in patient care, medical documentation, and safe handling techniques will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, and mobility support using appropriate transfer methods.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, especially when working with infectious disease cases or in sterile procedures.
• Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments. Patience is mandatory!
• Assist with patient transfers and mobility using safe lifting practices to prevent injury for both patients and staff.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff
• Must complete a mandatory BCI with the State of RI
• Must have current vaccinations (Covid & Flu) or provide medical documentation for declining vaccinations

Experience

• Must have current CNA license in the State of RI
• Prior experience working as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within long-term care facilities or hospitals is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures relevant to acute care settings
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your ability to provide specialized care.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) and CPR is mandatory
• Previous exposure to hospice care, memory care units, or sub-acute settings will be considered an asset.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining patient safety standards is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
