Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our residents or patients across various care settings. Your energy, attention to detail, and empathetic communication will directly impact the quality of life for those you serve. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your caregiving skills make a meaningful difference every day.

Duties

  • Assist patients or residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe handling techniques including Hoyer lifts and manual handling practices.
  • Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
  • Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods such as patient transfer techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs.
  • Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and aseptic techniques in sterile environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, emergency rooms, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or hospice care environments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities using EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Respond promptly to urgent care situations or emergencies by providing basic life support (CPR) and supporting other emergency protocols.
  • Support patients’ emotional well-being through compassionate communication and personalized caregiving tailored to individual needs.

Experience

  • Prior experience working as a CNA or in a caregiving role within long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home health settings is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures such as vital signs measurement and medication administration.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or those requiring specialized dementia or memory care.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous for maintaining accurate medical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs ensures safe mobility assistance.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are a plus.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and infectious disease care to promote patient safety and prevent cross-contamination.

Join us if you’re passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a vibrant healthcare environment! Your dedication will help improve lives while advancing your career in a supportive team committed to excellence in senior care, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or post-acute settings.
