What they need
This position will be directly under the supervision of the Client Care Manager.
Not only will this person Administer Medication, but they will also be responsible for the set up and the documentation prior to the administering of the medication. They are responsible for checking medication supply routinely to ensure adequate amount for administration not only on prescribed but also PRNs.
Must routinely monitor the medication orders in the EMR against the resident’s medication container to ensure accuracy and eliminate a dosage error.
Must perform the following:
o Resident Blood monitoring
o Resident temperature
o Resident Pulse
o Resident Pulse OX
o BAC
o Urinary Drug Screen or Mouth Swab
o Assist with intake procedures
o Begin the resident’s MAR
o MAR Documentation
o Other Documentation as needed
o Other Duties as assigned
o Gender Appropriate Body Searches
o Must respond to Emergencies in a timely manner
o Must assist with filing of resident documentation
o Must help monitor residents
Must also be able to conduct the following:
o Educate Residents in Life Skills Groups on topics related to health and medical issues
Enforcing facility rules and protocols
o medication verification and data entry upon admission as well as for medication changes
medication and order transcription
o medication administration per MD/NP orders
o patient medication education
o patient assessment as needed.
o coordination of care between patient and MD/NP for appointments and new orders
o narcotic and diabetic log records and record maintenance per State and Federal guidelines
o track and order needed supplies.
o train and support medication management aides and other duties as assigned.
o Direct client care and monitoring
o Intake and Discharge procedures
o Room Searches
o Client coordination
o Program approved group facilitation
o Understanding emergency protocol

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
