Job Summary

Duties:

• Bathing: bed, tub, and shower.
• Haircare, shampoos, medicinal shampoos.
• Shaving.
• Dressing and undressing.
• Oral hygiene and denture care.
• Toileting.
• Nail care, except that which requires a podiatrist.
• Care of hearing aids, glasses, prosthetic devices, personal equipment and belongings.
• Incontinence care.
• Routine skin care. Reports any changes in skin integrity to Team Leader.
• Prevention of pressure ulcers
• Perineal care
• Assistance with mobility: range of motion, transfers, ambulation, positioning, exercises as ordered and demonstrated by an RN or physical therapist.
• Demonstrates ability to use mechanical transfer equipment including knowledge of safety measures (i.e., resident/patient lifting and weighing devices).
• Maintenance of a clean and healthful environment.
• Feed patients.
• Take vital signs: temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure. Observe for visual signs/verbal complaints, grimaces indicating pain, report to Team Leader and document appropriately.
• Measure height and weight.
• Measure and record in-take and out-put.
• Assist with use of bedpan, urinal, and commode.
• Collect specimens; urine, stool, and sputum.

Experience

• High School Graduate pref.
• Current active CA CNA Certification
• BLS
• Fire safety (cert. within 90 days of hire).

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
