Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and reduce feelings of loneliness.
• Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals, and assist with medication reminders as needed.
• Support clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands.
• Follow personalized care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare teams to meet each individual’s unique needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a secure environment for clients.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in home care or related settings is preferred
• Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics or individuals requiring post-acute care supports comprehensive caregiving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care instructions are essential for success.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training opportunities are available for skill enhancement.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility safely.
