Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview

We are seeking dedicated and motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support our residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility, while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
• Observe, monitor, and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, utilizing PointClickCare documentation systems.
• Provide direct resident care and assist nursing staff with treatments and procedures as directed.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by following infection control protocols, utilizing proper transfer techniques, and operating equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies, state regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
• Deliver compassionate care to residents with cognitive impairments, including dementia and Alzheimer's disease, using appropriate behavioral and memory care approaches.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and communicate significant changes in condition to the nursing team.
• Promote residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being through positive interactions and quality service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Texas.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to resident care.
• Experience using PointClickCare or similar electronic health record systems preferred.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or assisted living settings preferred.
• Experience caring for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs is an asset.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
