Certified Nursing Assistant

This position is part time to full time.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Preparing meals, light housekeeping and running small errands.
• Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient condition, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR systems).
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper technique and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments.
• Utilize a new EHR specific to Compass Home HealthCare to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
• Engage with with elderly clients to deliver tailored care that respects individual needs and conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure.
• Patience and good listening skills are a must as companionship is a majority of what we do.
• Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation.
• Prior experience with specialized care areas including dementia/memory care, behavioral health, hospice, or infectious disease management is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting using or assisting with mobility aids safely.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the management team and provide excellent patient service.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
