Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and safe lifting practices to ensure safety for both patients and staff
• Observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or symptoms promptly to nursing staff or physicians
• Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring secure handling of medical records and documentation
• Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care for residents with complex conditions
• Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment in accordance with hospital or long-term care protocols

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state or relevant licensing authority
• Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
• Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members in caregiving roles
• Prior experience in settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home & community care environments preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods
• Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
