Nurse's Aide Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse's Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while promoting a positive and healing atmosphere.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, particularly those in critical care or hospice settings.
• Assist nursing staff with medical procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
• Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge or experience in pediatrics, critical care, urgent care, ICU, hospice care, inpatient services, or dementia care is a plus.
• Familiarity with working with people with disabilities is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Certification as a Nurse's Aide or completion of a relevant training program is preferred.
