Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview

Keystone Post Acute is a 65-bed Short term and long term skilled nursing facility. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who enjoy Enriching lives in Happy, Helpful, and Heartfelt ways. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting patients' physical and emotional well-being, demonstrating proficiency in medical documentation, patient transfer methods, and vital signs monitoring. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient populations including geriatrics and individuals with disabilities. Applicants must be detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety.

Open Positions

• 2 - AM Full Time CNAs
• 3 - PM Full-Time CNAs
• Muliple Part Time to work 1-2 days per week as scheduled or as needed.

Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral support.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient interactions.
• Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, colostomy care, wound care
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Document patient observations meticulously in medical records while respecting confidentiality standards across all settings.

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including long-term care residents, geriatric patients, pediatric patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR system Point Click Care for accurate medical documentation.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and nursing procedures relevant to medical-surgical, hospice, emergency medicine, and specialty areas like dementia or infectious disease care.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during patient transfers or manual handling tasks.
• Excellent caregiver communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service.
• Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality at all times across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
