Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with tasks like catheter care or medication administration under supervision.
• Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility for patients with limited strength or mobility challenges.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory care needs by implementing tailored approaches that promote safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings like long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers—and outpatient clinics to deliver seamless patient service.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation for all care provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required.
• Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatric patients, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities including developmental or traumatic brain injuries.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks.
• Strong communication skills for caregiving and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in specialized areas such as hospice care, ICU, Level I Trauma Center environments, infectious disease care, or post-acute settings is highly desirable.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.36 per hour
