Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information within electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems).
• Support patient transfer methods safely using appropriate techniques to prevent injury for both patients and staff.
• Provide basic patient care including feeding, toileting, and repositioning to promote comfort and prevent complications like pressure ulcers.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards while managing medical documentation and medical records.
• Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or behavioral health support when required.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
• Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring long-term or post-acute care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR).
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/AloraPlus) systems for accurate documentation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following safe lifting practices.
• Prior experience in settings such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly valued.
• Strong caregiving communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude to support patient service excellence.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
