Job Description

OJM Global Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced CNA or Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide one-on-one care for an adult client with a spinal cord injury.

This position requires a caregiver who is confident assisting individuals with significant mobility limitations, understands the importance of maintaining client dignity and independence, and can follow an established plan of care.

We are looking for someone who takes caregiving seriously, communicates professionally, and consistently shows up ready to provide quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Provide safe assistance with transfers, positioning, and mobility.
• Assist with toileting, incontinence care, and established personal care routines.
• Support non-skilled aspects of bowel and bladder care as permitted by the care plan, training, and agency policy.
• Monitor for and promptly report changes in client condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Provide respectful, person-centered assistance that promotes dignity and independence.
• Accurately document services and complete electronic visit verification (EVV).
• Follow all OJM Global Care policies, safety procedures, and care instructions.

Required Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred; experienced PCAs will be considered.
• Previous spinal cord injury, paralysis, or significant mobility-assistance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience assisting with safe transfers and personal care.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics and injury prevention.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Strong communication skills and professional boundaries.
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions and work independently.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening, onboarding, and training.
