Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various homes. this position is nights 7 pm to 7 am every other weekend and some shorter shifts in crystal city area. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that patients receive respectful, safe, and effective support throughout their healthcare journey. Duties

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately
• Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with tasks such as catheter care or wound dressing changes.
• Facilitate patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other manual handling devices while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Document patient information meticulously in medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in providing specialized care such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or behavioral health support.
• Respond promptly to patient needs in emergency situations, utilizing skills in CPR, basic life support (BLS), and emergency medicine protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
• Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or behavioral health care.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care.
• Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice settings, or home & community care is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on patient service excellence.
