Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and transfer methods
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Support patient safety by practicing proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
• Provide emotional support and effective communication tailored to patients’ needs, including those with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely medication administration and assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and certified
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while managing medical records and documentation in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks
• Assist with patient transfers using safe lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids for patients with complex needs like trauma or post-surgical recovery

Requirements

• Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities
• Basic life support (CPR) certification required
• Prior experience in assisted living, or home care settings preferred
• Proficiency in medical documentation is highly valued
• Strong caregiver communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
