Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nights, Weekends, Part-Time, Per-Diem

Position Overview: Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant that is responsible for providing direct care to our guests, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting the team in maintaining our guests' overall well-being during their final days. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for end-of-life caregiving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed
• Support guests with eating, hydration, and nutritional needs
• Help guests maintain personal hygiene and overall comfort care

Health Monitoring:

• Observe and report changes in physical or mental condition to the operations team
• Assist with medication and basic healthcare tasks in collaboration with hospice

Resident Engagement:

• Foster meaningful relationships with our guests through companionship and supportive care.
• Encourage participation in activities and programs to promote social interaction and mental well-being.

Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures in compliance with policy
• Respond promptly to emergency situations when needed

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, or long-term care setting preferred

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to guest needs
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of nursing care procedures and safety practices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to assist guest with mobility and physical support as needed

Certifications & Requirements:

• Active CNA certification in good standing in NC State
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
