Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Wound Care Assistant

Job Overview

CuraWound is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a physician providing specialized wound care services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting in Brooklyn.

This role is ideal for a CNA interested in wound care and procedural support. The CNA will assist the physician during bedside wound care treatments, prepare patients and supplies, and help coordinate care with facility nursing staff.

The position will initially involve one facility in Brooklyn, with opportunities to support additional locations as the program expands.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with bedside wound care procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and assemble wound care supplies
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation during procedures
• Help with wound dressing changes and treatment setup
• Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of equipment and work areas
• Coordinate with facility nursing staff regarding patient readiness
• Assist with basic documentation or treatment logs as directed
• Support efficient patient flow during wound care rounds

Qualifications

Required

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York
• Experience working in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), long-term care, or hospitals
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to assist with procedural bedside care

Preferred

• Experience assisting with wound care or dressing changes
• Familiarity with infection control and sterile technique
• Interest in specialized wound care

Schedule & Work Environment

• 1–2 days per week
• Work alongside a wound care physician
• Care provided within Skilled Nursing Facilities
• Initial assignment at one facility in Brooklyn, with potential expansion

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
