- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring timely communication of changes to the nursing team.
- Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
- Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and managing patients with Alzheimer's or other memory impairments.
- Document patient information precisely via mobile app, maintaining comprehensive medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in various settings, including hospitals (Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in infection control practices and sterile techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures like phlebotomy or invasive interventions.
Experience
- Prior experience working in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or surgical units is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in long-term care settings including nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Experience with specialized populations such as pediatrics (PICU), behavioral health patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology enhances your ability to deliver effective patient service and accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Home & Community Care platforms supports seamless clinical workflows.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is advantageous.
Experience working with diverse patient groups—including geriatrics, hospice patients, or those requiring memory care—demonstrates your versatility and commitment to compassionate caregiving. Join us to be part of a dynamic healthcare environment where your skills make a real difference!
