Responsibilities:

· Work under the supervision of the appropriate occupational therapist. The supervising therapist sets realistic, achievable goals for each patient. The Occupational Therapy Assistant documents the patient’s condition and provides appropriate education to patients and families.

· Plan and implement individualized treatment programs that are consistent with the principles and requirements of the Texas Occupational Therapy Practice Act.

· Record each treatment and the patient’s response in the clinical or progress notes on the day of the visit, and incorporate the notes into the patient’s record.

· Work under the supervision of an occupational therapist and follow the supervision guidelines established by the Executive Council for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited two-year Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

· Current Texas license or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 30.0 per week
