Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Responsibilities

• Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility exercises, to promote independence.
• Provide hands-on therapy interventions for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics, in inpatient, outpatient, or home health settings.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy interventions accurately within medical records.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to enhance recovery at home or in care facilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and effective patient care delivery.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures during therapy sessions.

Requirements

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles.
• Experience assisting with ADLs and providing therapy in settings such as skilled nursing facilities, inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
• Familiarity with care plans for diverse populations including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Ability to work effectively in inpatient or outpatient settings with a focus on patient care excellence.
• Strong communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams effectively.

Pay: $30.02 - $40.00 per hour
