Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA / COTA) to join our growing pediatric team! In this role, you will work side-by-side with supervising Occupational Therapists to carry out individualized treatment plans using play-based interventions, sensory integration, and motor skill activities designed to help children hit their developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Dynamic Treatment: Execute individualized OT treatment plans created by supervising OTs during engaging, 1-on-1 pediatric therapy sessions in natural environments (home, community, or hybrid).
• Play-Based Interventions: Target sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, and daily living skills (ADLs) through creative, play-driven strategies.
• Family & Team Collaboration: Partner closely with supervising OTs, interdisciplinary colleagues, and parents to promote progress and encourage carryover at home.
• Documentation: Complete timely, accurate electronic clinical documentation and session notes in compliance with state standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensure: Active license issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (NBCOT certification preferred).
• Clearances: Valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and active CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Experience: Background or strong clinical interest in pediatric OT (Early Intervention or Home Health experience is a plus!).
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and a genuine ability to build rapport with young children and their families.
