Job Description

Metro Home Health is seeking a qualified and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide home health therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will help patients improve their ability to perform daily living activities and maintain functional independence in their home environment.

This position involves providing follow-up therapy visits and supporting patients in achieving the goals established in their occupational therapy plan of care.

Compensation Rate

• Follow-up Visit: $70 per visit

Compensation is based on the assigned visit type. Other visit types and rates, if applicable, must be confirmed with the agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, functional tasks, therapeutic exercises, and adaptive techniques as assigned.
• Reinforce patient and caregiver education regarding safe techniques for dressing, bathing, grooming, transfers, and other daily activities.
• Observe patient responses to treatment and report progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Document services provided, patient response, and progress accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary care team as needed.
• Follow applicable professional standards, infection prevention practices, patient privacy requirements, and agency procedures.

Qualifications

• Current California OTA license or the applicable California credentials required for the assigned role.
• Completion of the education and credentialing requirements applicable to California OTA practice.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned patients' homes.
• Ability to complete agency onboarding and required compliance documentation.

• San Fernando Valley and surrounding communities
• Bakersfield and Kern County
• Lancaster, Palmdale, and Antelope Valley
• Santa Clarita Valley
• Los Angeles communities
• Hesperia and surrounding High Desert areas
• Cerritos and nearby Southeast Los Angeles County communities
• Murrieta and surrounding Southwest Riverside County communities
• Trabuco Canyon and nearby Orange County communities

Work Arrangement

The work arrangement and payment terms will be discussed during recruitment and must comply with applicable California requirements. Visit assignments depend on patient needs and service-area availability.
