Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Part Time

Bella Vista Health Center is a 99‑bed Skilled Nursing Facility dedicated to delivering exceptional, compassionate care in a supportive and team‑oriented environment. We take pride in creating a workplace where staff feel valued, respected, and empowered to grow.

We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to helping residents achieve their highest level of independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Follow facility documentation standards and maintain accurate, timely records
• Document treatments, progress notes, and resident responses in the medical record
• Assist in maintaining department organization and equipment
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
• Support cleaning and upkeep of the treatment area
• Communicate effectively with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress, concerns, and care plans
• Participate in staff training and in‑service programs
• Record treatment charges according to facility policies
• Educate families and nursing staff on home programs or maintenance exercises

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
• Strong written communication skills for documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team‑focused mindset
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and enthusiasm for resident care
