Job Summary

A well-established construction organization in Fresno, CA is seeking a Certified Payroll Clerk for a direct hire opportunity supporting industrial facilities and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll compliance professional with hands-on experience in Prevailing Wage, Certified Payroll, Davis-Bacon, and related public works compliance requirements.

The Certified Payroll Clerk will play a critical role in maintaining accurate payroll compliance documentation, reviewing subcontractor reports, preparing in-house certified payroll submissions, and helping project teams stay aligned with federal, state, and local requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Review subcontractor certified payroll reports for compliance with project requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

• Prepare and submit accurate in-house certified payroll reports using required payroll and compliance software.

• Submit certified payroll documentation through compliance platforms such as DIR, LCP Tracker, and other project-specific systems.

• Prepare pre-job compliance documents, including DAS 140 and DAS 142 forms.

• Advise project managers on wage compliance requirements, subcontractor documentation, and potential compliance risks.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, third-party compliance firms, and internal teams to resolve payroll RFIs, audits, corrections, and noncompliance issues.
