Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience

Duke City Recovery Toolbox is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) to join our PM Clinic team.

This position is more than just a job. We are looking for someone who understands the value of meeting people where they are, building genuine connections, and using lived experience in a professional way to encourage individuals working toward recovery.

Our PM Peer will be an important part of helping our evening clinic run smoothly while making sure our patients feel supported, respected, and heard.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual peer support sessions using lived experience appropriately and professionally
• Build rapport with patients and provide encouragement throughout their recovery journey
• Help patients identify recovery goals, strengths, resources, and natural supports
• Assist patients with connecting to community resources and additional services
• Provide recovery education, harm-reduction education, and support
• Facilitate or assist with peer-led groups as needed
• Support patients during difficult moments while maintaining healthy professional boundaries
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of peer services
• Work closely with counselors, medical staff, front desk, leadership, and other members of the treatment team
• Assist with patient needs and clinic flow during evening hours
• Participate in trainings, supervision, team meetings, outreach, and other peer-support activities
• Help create a welcoming, respectful, and recovery-focused environment

What We're Looking For

We want someone who is reliable, compassionate, patient, and willing to be part of a team. Our patients come from many different backgrounds and are at different places in their recovery. The right person understands that recovery does not look the same for everyone.

The ideal candidate:

• Holds a current New Mexico Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) credential
• Has lived experience with recovery and understands how to use that experience appropriately to support others
• Has strong communication and listening skills
• Can maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Is comfortable working with individuals experiencing substance use and behavioral health challenges
• Can remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
• Is dependable and able to consistently work the PM schedule
• Is comfortable documenting services and learning electronic documentation systems
• Works well independently while also being a strong team member
• Is willing to learn, receive feedback, and continue growing professionally

Experience working in MAT, substance-use treatment, behavioral health, harm reduction, or community-based recovery services is a plus.

PM Shift

Monday–Friday
2:00 PM–10:30 PM

Because this position provides coverage for our evening clinic, applicants must be able to consistently work the scheduled PM hours.
