Duties

• Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, including preparing and labeling prescriptions accurately using pharmacy software systems
• Enter data meticulously into pharmacy management systems while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, including drug regulation laws
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and verifying expiration dates to ensure medication safety and availability

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology
• Experience with pharmacy software systems and data entry accuracy in fast-paced settings
• Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations, and drug regulation laws.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Prior experience in community or acute care pharmacy settings is a plus
