Job Summary

Duties

• Perform data entry for prescriptions, patient records, and inventory management using advanced pharmacy software systems.
• Support medication intake processes by verifying prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Maintain strict adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, including drug regulation standards and state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions, offering medication counseling, and supporting patient care initiatives.
• Uphold patient confidentiality at all times while managing sensitive health information in accordance with privacy regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment, expiration date monitoring, and proper storage of medications.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program; current licensure as required by state regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology.
• Experience with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards, including drug regulation laws and state healthcare regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while managing multiple tasks in a busy environment.
