Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within a retail setting, assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, acute care processes, and effective patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding their medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe medication administration and adherence to protocols.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals appropriately.
• Stay current with pharmacy regulations, policies, and best practices to maintain compliance within the retail pharmacy environment.
• Package medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting or general pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
