What they need
Our Mission
We are an independent internal medicine and family medicine clinic located in West Omaha. We’re dedicated to making healthcare more efficient, accurate, and patient-focused by ensuring every medical record tells the right story. Our team believes that precise coding is more than compliance—it’s the foundation for fair reimbursement, quality care tracking, and better patient outcomes. We value integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
The Impact You'll Make
As a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), you will be the guardian of accuracy in our medical documentation. Your expertise will ensure that every diagnosis, procedure, and service is coded correctly, directly influencing patient care quality, operational efficiency, and financial integrity. You’ll be a trusted partner to clinicians, helping translate complex medical narratives into standardized codes that keep our healthcare system running smoothly.
What You'll Do
● Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
● Ensure compliance with federal regulations, payer requirements, and internal policies.
● Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
● Conduct regular audits to identify coding errors and recommend corrective actions.
● Stay current with coding guidelines, industry updates, and payer-specific rules.
● Support revenue cycle processes by ensuring timely and accurate claim submissions.
What You'll Bring
● Current coding certification from AAPC or AhiMA (required).
● 2+ years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a multi-specialty or hospital setting.
● Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
● Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Cerner and Epic, preferred) and coding software tools.
● Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
● Ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Why You'll Love It Here
● A supportive, collaborative environment where your expertise is valued.
● Competitive salary and comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits. Hourly range $22.00 to $32.00/hr.
● Annual professional development stipend to maintain certifications and attend industry conferences.
● Flexible work arrangements, including remote office.
