Finance & Accounting Lead

PurPaul Ventures OPC is looking for a long-term, highly motivated, and results-driven Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead our finance and accounting operations across our growing business portfolio, including 7-Eleven stores, Binalot franchise stores, and future franchise ventures.

This is a key leadership role for a CPA who can go beyond day-to-day accounting and provide financial direction, business insights, and strategic recommendations that will support the company’s growth and profitability.

Job Summary

The CPA will oversee the overall financial health, accounting operations, and profitability of all current and future business units under PurPaul Ventures OPC.

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing budgets and cash flow, monitoring costs and inventory, strengthening internal controls, coordinating audits, and providing management with actionable financial insights for sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company’s accounting and finance operations across multiple business units and branches
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, P&L reports, and management reports
• Monitor branch and business-unit profitability and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Monitor costs, expenses, inventory, and Cost of Sales (COS)
• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance and statutory reporting, including BIR requirements and government-mandated contributions
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, government agencies, suppliers, and other financial partners when necessary
• Monitor financial risks and recommend appropriate controls and corrective actions
• Review financial performance across branches and provide management with meaningful analysis and recommendations
• Support management in evaluating new business opportunities, franchise ventures, and expansion plans
• Develop financial models and analyses to support business and investment decisions
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and government regulations
• Lead and develop the finance/accounting team as the business continues to grow

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active PRC license

• At least 4–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or financial management

• Experience in retail, food & beverage, convenience store, franchise, or multi-branch operations is highly preferred

• Proven experience in:

  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Profit & Loss (P&L) management
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Cash flow management
  • Cost control and profitability analysis
  • Inventory and Cost of Sales (COS) monitoring
  • Tax compliance and statutory reporting
  • Internal controls and audit coordination
  • Financial risk management

• Experience managing the finances of multiple branches, stores, or business units is an advantage

• Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and confidentiality

• Ability to work independently, make sound financial decisions, and provide strategic recommendations to management
