Certified Security Guards

Job Summary

DE Certified Security Guards to help protect people, property, and facilities through attentive observation, clear communication, and prompt action.

You’ll control access and follow established security and emergency procedures while treating employees, visitors, and customers with professionalism.

This role involves standing, walking, patrolling, and possibly lifting or moving equipment.

About You:

• Must be State of Delaware certified/licensed (Yellow Card)

• Experience required (2 years)

• Reliable transportation required

• Professional appearance and strong communication skills

• Dependable and able to work assigned shifts

• Verifiable references required

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas and use surveillance tools, to identify and report security concerns.
• Operate access control systems, verify authorization, and support loss prevention through consistent physical security practices.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, apply conflict de-escalation techniques, and coordinate with Supervisor for emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate incident reports to document observations and situations, if applicable.

Skills

• Required: Current security guard certification and the ability to follow applicable security regulations, site procedures, and emergency response procedures.
• Required: Strong customer service, communication and conflict management
• Preferred: Experience in security, law enforcement, or military service; familiarity with firearm handling where legally authorized.
• Preferred: First aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification or automated external defibrillator (AED) operation.
• Ability to patrol and perform manual handling or heavy lifting as needed; surveillance, access control, and loss prevention experience are valued.

PART TIME / SEASONAL WORK AVAILABLE!!!

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week
