Overview
The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This position is responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of instruments used in various medical procedures. Duties

• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of instruments to ensure they are functioning properly and are free from damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory management of sterile supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during the handling and processing of instruments to prevent contamination.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand specific needs for surgical procedures.
• Document all sterilization processes and maintain records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on advancements in sterile processing techniques, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.

Experience

• Previous experience in sterile processing is required and certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is highly desirable.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
