Responsibilities

• Properly clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.
• Manage inventory of sterile supplies, ensuring all items are properly stored and readily available for clinical use.
• Apply aseptic techniques during handling and processing of sterile items to prevent contamination.
• Verify medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to identify appropriate instruments for various procedures.
• Conduct routine quality checks on sterilization equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
