Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and handling surgical equipment with precision and care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgery, providing critical support to the anesthesia team as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms, documenting procedures thoroughly.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly sterilized, functioning correctly, and ready for use in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Support various specialties including orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, trauma care, pediatrics, endoscopy, and medical-surgical procedures.
• Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection prevention practices to minimize healthcare-associated infections during all phases of patient care.

Requirements

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required; current certification must be maintained.
• Proven experience working in hospital settings with exposure to Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in assisting with complex surgeries such as cardiovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, and pediatric procedures.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Proficiency in operating medical equipment and understanding sterilization processes for surgical instruments.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or similar platforms for documentation purposes.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus.
• Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail in patient care and treatment procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments including emergency medicine settings and trauma centers.
• Knowledge of hospital policies related to infection control, aseptic technique, treatment of fractures, trauma care protocols, and critical care practices is essential.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $2,800.00 per week
