Certified Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team in various clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
• Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
• Provide animal restraint and support during procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
• Handle various species with knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience is preferred
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology
• Experience with animal handling
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• A commitment to providing exceptional pet care in a compassionate manner

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Base Pay: From $23.00 per hour
