The examination and experience prerequisites are as follows:

(a) Have 3 or more years of Category A certifying experience in the last 5 years prior to the application; and

(b) Pass the Category Technical Competency (CTC) Category A examination and the Aviation Legislation (M10) examination.

Job Description

As a CAT A certifying technician, you will

1) Primarily perform certification for the release of an aircraft on line maintenance which require only simple and routine tasks to be carried out.

2) Carry out minor scheduled line maintenance tasks and simple defect rectification that are within the limitations stated in the Authorisation certificate.

• Examples of tasks that a CAT A license holder can be authorized to perform includes but not limited to replacement of wheel, routine fluid servicing, opening and closing of cowlings and quick access panels etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carries out maintenance and certification of aircraft handled by Line Maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance is performed at the highest level in accordance with relevant technical Data
• Keeps him/herself updated on current and new Technical and Quality Notices issued
• Ensure maximum attention is given to ensure aircraft on time departure and also improve dispatch reliability by providing timely completion of task and delay management/report.
• Complete all required documentation for all aircraft done by himself/herself during shift, ensure proper signing and stamping before clocking out.
• Accept appropriate training that will enable a more effective contribution
• Ensures that safety rules and regulations are complied with.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by his superior.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills (proficient in English reading and writing).

Education / Experience:

• Must hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance License as CAT A with more than 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience on commercial aircrafts Airbus/Boeing
