What they need

Campus Ambassador – CFACT

Interested in challenging the conventional thinking regarding environmental issues on your college campus?

CFACT (Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow) is a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting conservative and free-market solutions to the issues of the environment, energy, and climate. We believe environmental stewardship and economic freedom go hand in hand, and we encourage productive debate on issues that are often dominated by one viewpoint on college campuses.

If you are a motivated student who knows how to engage your peers in small events on campus, you’re fit for this role—no environmental/energy background knowledge required; we’ll get you up to speed!

What You’ll Do

CFACT Campus Representatives host up to three events per semester with complete flexibility in scheduling and event types.

Examples of events include:

  • Campus tabling and outreach; e.g. surveys, giveaways, conversation starters street interviews
  • Nature hikes and hunting/fishing trips
  • Museum tours/movie screenings; e.g. Climate Hustle
  • Speaker events featuring policy experts
  • Public comment opportunities for Regulations.gov
  • Tree of Liberty planting/nature clean up activities
  • Challenging CO2 Myths
  • Deconstructing the Climate Narrative
  • Rethinking Wind Energy
  • Capitalism = Conservation

All event expenses are covered by CFACT, and our staff works closely with ambassadors to tailor events to the surrounding campus community and students’ interests.

Compensation

Monthly Stipend

$150/month base pay during semester months

Event Bonuses

Payment for 3 events will range from $150-$400, increasing per event number

Additional event opportunities might be available.

Referral Bonuses

$100 for each new Campus Representative you refer who joins the program.

The top referrer each semester earns a $500 bonus.

If you're a busy college student, and your greatest concern is time management, students love this role because it has extremely flexible scheduling, usually requires less than 5 hours per event, and is a great resume builder with leadership experience.
