CFD Combustion Developer

Position Overview:

This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.

We are seeking a Combustion CFD Software Developer to support the development of

combustion-related models for our flagship product, CONVERGE, using C++.

Responsibilities:

• Develop CFD codes for turbulent reacting flow simulations
• Develop and maintain CONVERGE’s chemistry utilities
• Implement and validate turbulent combustion models
• Use C++, and MPI for CFD engineering software development
• Collaborate with support and sales engineers to incorporate specific models into CONVERGE
• Run cases with new features and share your results
• Develop proposals for future work

Requirements:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
• 1+ years developing CFD codes and simulating complex flows (experience during graduate studies is acceptable)
• Combustion modeling knowledge (desirable)
• Turbulence modeling knowledge (desirable)
• Spray modeling knowledge (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of data structure, design patterns
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
