Description:
Develop research strategies/ methods re: multi-scale simulation, fluid-particle interactions & granular jamming. Utilize commercial (e.g., ANSYS Fluent) and open-source (e.g., OpenFOAM, SPH-based codes) simulation tools for model development, execution, & post-processing of results. Improve design issues related to paint finishing systems, paint booths, dry & wet scrubbers, convection ovens & cooler, desiccant humidification units, gas burners, skid washers, & air ducts. Collaborate w/ engineering or sales depts re: feasibility. Redesign existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 3+ years of experience researching multi-scale simulation, fluid-particle interactions and granular jamming.
