Change Communications Lead

About the role

You will be the engine room of a change team on an Australian Government technology or transformation program, turning change strategy into impact assessments, readiness data, communications and adoption reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain change-impact assessments and change registers
• Run stakeholder analysis and deliver the stakeholder engagement and communications plan
• Prepare sponsor and leadership messaging and engage operational leaders and frontline employees
• Run readiness surveys, analyse the results and report on resistance and change fatigue
• Coordinate change activities and the change calendar across the program, and adjust communications from feedback
• Track and report adoption measures and support the transition into business as usual

About you

• Australian citizenship and an active Australian Government security clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2)
• Available to work on a hybrid set up in Canberra
• Change analyst, coordinator or communications and engagement experience on an Australian Government program
• Personal delivery of change-impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness assessments and communications
• Experience supporting technology change such as AI, ServiceNow, ERP, cloud, cyber or digital transformation
• Experience engaging SES sponsors, operational leaders and frontline employees
• Working knowledge of Prosci / ADKAR, APMG, Agile Change or an equivalent methodology
• Familiarity with the APS Change Framework
• Experience measuring communications reach, understanding and adoption
